Care Home Residents Enjoy Inaugural Armchair Flight Complete with British Airways Cabin Crew
Rokewood Court a Cinnamon Care home in Kenley, Surrey, has introduced a new travel initiative for residents, with British Airways cabin crew checking passports, stamping visas and issuing boarding cards for armchair flights to popular travel destinations.
The inaugural ROK-1909 ‘flight’ to Italy whisked resident passengers away to an afternoon of all things Italian, including learning about Italian cities, food, drink, music and history.
Roy Booth, Home Admissions Advisor, Rokewood Court comments, “The residents thoroughly enjoyed the ‘flight’ and engaging with all things Italian. Having the BA cabin crew in full uniform interacting with residents was wonderful and we thank them for their enthusiasm and kindness. Next month they will return for our second armchair ‘flight’ to Australia, we can’t wait!”
