Christmas Markets return to Emerson Grange Our festive markets raise a huge £1,724 for local dementia charity
And it came back with a bang! The hugely successfully Emerson Grange Christmas Market returned once again to Hextable, Kent, this time raising an impressive £1725.24 for Kent’s biggest independent charity and Kent Charity of the Year 2024 – Alzheimer’s and Dementia Support Services, ADSS.
After an amazing success last year, the Christmas Market made a return to our Hextable care home, bringing together business owners, artisans, crafts stalls and our local community for a day of festive fun, live entertainment and delicious food.
Aileen Nimmo, Resident Services Advisor, Emerson Grange, comments, “A wonderful day was had by our residents and the wider community coming together at this special time of year. We are delighted to have raised so much money from stalls selling seasonal gifts, a tombola and festive treats. This money will help ADDS to continue their vital work within our local community.”
Karen Roberts, Fundraiser, ADDS, adds, “On behalf of everyone here at Alzheimer’s and Dementia Support Services, we would like to thank Emerson Grange for raising this amazing amount for us. Your kind generosity is so important to our charity as it enables us to continue with our support for those people in Kent who are living with dementia. Not only support for those who have been given the diagnosis but for their families and friends too.”
Since 1991, ADSS has been providing specialist dementia support to people in the Dartford, Gravesham, and Swanley areas, and following 2022 reached to include Chatham, Strood, Gillingham, Rochester, Maidstone, Malling, Sevenoaks, Tunbridge Wells, Tonbridge, Weald, Sittingbourne, Sheppey, and Faversham.
