Meet Our Team
We’d like to introduce our friendly Heathland House team who are determined to be the difference in senior care.
At Heathland House we treat people how we’d like them to treat our loved ones – like family. We understand everyone we look after has their own needs and preferences. So we create care plans which address everything from their individual care provision and dietary requirements to their favourite foods and hobbies. And with great food on the menu every day, each day is a new enjoyable experience.

What I do:
It is my job to make sure Heathland House is full of happy thriving residents and staff. I am responsible for the day-to-day running of the home as well as giving the heads of departments the tools they need to do their jobs. I enjoy working with others and creating positive connections with those around me.
My experience:
I hold a BSc in Psychology and an MSc in Conservation and Biology. My experience over the last ten years has been as a Care Home Manager in the Dorset area. During this time, I have developed two services from ‘requires improvement’ to ‘good’ CQC rated homes. I have extensive experience in using positive behaviour support to help individuals thrive in residential care. My previous role was as Registered Manager of the largest elderly care home in Dorset. I am now blending my expertise in the quality of care with the luxury that Heathland House provides to create a home that exceeds expectations.
About me:
I live by the sea with my young family. We enjoy stomps in the forest, dancing in the living room and being creative. I am a very positive person and enjoy finding solutions to complex challenges. I love learning so I may not have the answer to everything, but I am willing to find out.

I work very closely with the General Manager to ensure that Residents, their family members and our staff team are supported and that the service we provide is designed and delivered around the needs and wishes of the residents.
My Experience:
My career in Social Care started in 1984, as a Care Assistant in a residential home run by Dorset Council, transferring to the Borough of Poole with the implementation of the three Local Authorities. working in both Residential and Day service Provisions. I then moved to Germany in 1996 where I worked in the Army Medical Centre before returning home and joining a local Housing Association as the Registered Manager developing their Supported Living, Domiciliary Care and Extra Care services in the community.
About Me:
I am married with 5 children and 4 grandchildren. My passion is and always has been football, playing with my friends at the local rec and with the boys at school (girls weren’t allowed to play officially in those days). I managed several children’s teams when I lived in Germany, but now I watch the game from the terraces, I am a season ticket holder with AFC Bournemouth. I also enjoy spending time with my family and going to music concerts.
