What I do:
As the general manager for Sunnybank House it gives me great pleasure to welcome you to our home. I work alongside every department in the home to ensure we deliver the very best experience to our residents.
I will regularly be found around the home with our residents seeking feedback and discussing new ideas and initiatives on how to have a continued drive for excellence. Team development is a huge passion of mine and I work tirelessly with my Sunnybank colleagues to ensure they have everything they need to provide the very best care and support.
My experiences:
My career in the care industry started when I was 15 where I took a washing up role in my local nursing home. I developed a great passion and buzz for supporting people and very quickly knew that this was the career I wanted.
I worked hard to progress and learn every role within the home with the goal of one day being their leader. I have held every role in the home in my time, even stepping in to cook lunch on a few occasions. I have worked in both small and large companies in home, regional and operational manager roles but my passion lies in home management where I can spend time each day with the amazing residents we have.
About Me:
Outside of work I enjoy working out, heading to the cinema or spending many hours by the side of a river or lake fishing.

What I Do:
I joined Cinnamon in September 2022. In my role I assist in the smooth running of Sunnybank House, ensuring that residents and families of those are always communicated with. I have extensive training in looking after those who live with Dementia, I currently hold a Level 3 in Health and Social Care and am now working hard to complete my Level 5 in Health and Social Care. I have a passion in developing staff members to meet their full potential and providing support to them as they need.
My Experience:
I’ve worked within the Care Sector for the last 10 years, initially working within Domiciliary settings and then moved into Care Homes around 8 years ago. I have previously worked with Residential and Dementia service users, supporting them emotionally and physically. My children are my drive to ensure I continue to progress with my knowledge and also within my career.
About Me:
In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my young family and Husband. I enjoy baking, eating out and seeing my friends when not at work. I also enjoy going down to Devon when possible to see my family.

What I do:
I am often the first port of call when someone is looking for a care setting whether it be for a short term or permanent stay. This can be a difficult and at times, confusing or emotional time. I am here to offer support, advice and signpost people to ensure the process is as clear and smooth as possible. I’d be delighted to show you around our lovely home, give you opportunity to meet with team members and meet our wonderful residents. Just give the home a call.
My experience:
I started working in care as a care assistant in the community over 30 years ago and after gaining my NVQ, I became a senior and managed a team supporting people in their own homes. I moved on to a care setting and have worked both in the UK and Spain as a carer and in supervisory roles. In addition, I have a long career in the fitness industry delivering exercise and rehabilitation classes and sessions.
About me:
I am honoured to have 2 daughters and 3 grand children who take up most of my free time, along with my husband and little dog, Dickens. We walk, caravan and just do our best to enjoy each and every day together.

What I do:
I am conscience about keeping Sunnybank House well maintained and safe for our Residents. There are a lot of hidden checks and Statutory inspections that I like to keep up to date. The most satisfying part is helping the residents with making their rooms personal to them whether being hanging pictures or organising their room to their liking. Having worked at Sunnybank for 7 years all the residents know me well and I have a great relationship with all of them.
My Experience:
I worked in the construction industry for 30 years and found experience gained invaluable in my current role. I was the first employee at Sunnybank House and was responsible for overseeing the handover of the building in 2014.
About Me:
I like watching my local premier league and cricket teams live and attending concerts. My two daughters and dog keep me busy.
We’d love to meet you!
