A Dance Lover's Dream Residents at Rivermede Court meet Strictly Come Dancing star Anton Du Beke

It all began with the knowledge that a few of our residents at Rivermede Court were in fact keen ballroom dancers in their former days. And watching Strictly on TV would often rekindle many a fond memory when they too glitzed the dance floor.

In fact one resident, we learnt, ran their own dance company which provided dance lessons to adults in the local community. And since moving into Rivermede Court they’d been able to reconnect with other residents who took part in her lessons.

So, as part of the Sprinkle of Cinnamon initiative which aims to make a difference to our residents’ lives through personalised activities, our Activities team arranged a special theatre night to watch the ‘An evening with Anton Du Beke’ show at Theatre Royal Windsor.

Much to their delight and surprise after the show, our residents were personally greeted by the Strictly star who shared an emotional moment with a very jubilant audience.

There was  much talk about Cha-Cha, Rumba, Foxtrot and Jiving to name a few moves which our residents were happy to share with Anton Du Beke.
