Runnymede Business Awards Hanka Vlhova wins Outstanding Contribution to Business Prize for Rivermede Court
It was a day of joy, praise and emotion at this year’s Runnymede Business Awards, held at Royal Holloway, University of London.
The annual ceremony, organised by Runnymede Borough Council brought together a plethora of organisations to celebrate the achievements of individuals as well as the enterprises which makeup the heart of the community.
And it was a proud achievement for our very own Hanka Vlhova to win the Outstanding Contribution to Business Award, for Rivermede Court in Egham.
She impressed the judges with her passion for arranging a wide range of stimulating and enjoyable activities for residents including gardening, art, drum fitness classes, daytrips to places of interest, intergenerational events involving community members as well as getting involved in local initiatives such as The Windsor Flower Show and Love Egham Week.
Councillor Elaine Gill, Mayor of Runnymede and judge for the Outstanding Contribution Award said, “The nominees were all excellent but for me Hanka shone out. Being Activities Co-ordinator is very demanding but Hanka goes well beyond that.”
She added, “I am absolutely delighted that Hanka is receiving full praise for this award. As Mayor of Runnymede, I enjoy visiting Rivermede Court and having the interaction with the residents – it is a very special place.”
Candice O’Neill, General Manager at Rivermede Court said, “We are so proud of Hanka. She thoroughly deserves this award. Hanka brings so much energy and enthusiasm to her role and always looks to cater to the individual interests of our residents. She is a huge asset to our team and has been responsible for a wide range of creative and fun activities which have brought so much joy to our residents.”
